The Leapfrog position closely resembles standard doggy style and several of its variations from our list of wild sex positions.

To try the Leapfrog, start in the familiar doggy style position — your man upright on his knees behind you while you’re also on your knees. Instead of propping yourself on your elbows like in doggy style, lower your chest and head onto the bed, as shown in the picture above. Raising your butt into the air lets your man enter you easily, with his legs positioned close together inside yours.

How high you raise your butt is completely up to you. Keep it low and tuck pillows or cushions under your belly and waist for support, or lift it up higher. You can even rise onto your feet into a squat, similar to the related Frog Leap sex position — though if you do, your man may need to get up on his feet too.

While in the Leapfrog position, your man handles most of the movement, thrusting in and out. You can also thrust against your man to add intensity, and to give him a break if he starts tiring out from doing all the work.

A few tweaks worth trying with the Leapfrog position, drawn from feedback I’ve gotten from students:

• Doing the Leapfrog facing a wall with your hands braced against it lets you push back into your man, making his thrusts feel noticeably stronger (13 great positions for sex against a wall).
• Some women find it more comfortable to rest their head on a pillow while doing the Leapfrog.
• This position allows for really deep penetration, which won’t feel comfortable for everyone.
• Keeping your legs together instead of apart tightens things up for your man and can boost your own pleasure too. Squeezing your legs together for extra pleasure this way is known as syntribation.

Sean’s Take On The Leapfrog Position

The Leapfrog works well for almost any couple since it doesn’t demand much flexibility or strength. There’s also plenty of room to shift around until your man finds a spot that feels amazing. Most women I’ve spoken with say rising into a squat isn’t especially comfortable or worthwhile, so don’t feel pressured to try it. If clitoral stimulation during sex is your priority, the Leapfrog is a great fit since either of you can easily reach it while he’s penetrating you.
