The Stand & Carry Sex Position Guide

The Stand & Carry position is unlike almost any other pose out there. No bed or sofa required — instead, your man stays on his feet the entire time, holding you off the ground. It won't suit every couple, but there are plenty of other options in our sex positions guide that might work better for you.
Getting lifted is the toughest part of Stand & Carry. The easiest approach starts you in a pose like Butterfly, lying on your back on a bed or table while your man stands. He leans over you, you wrap your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist, and he places his arms around your waist or butt before rising to standing while holding you.
Alternatively, you can both begin standing and facing each other, as in the Slow Dance position. Once he's inside you, he places his hands on your butt or waist and lifts you, and you wrap your legs around him as he does.
Her Role In The Stand & Carry Position
While your man holds you up, carry some of your own weight using your arms around his neck. Your legs wrapped around his waist help support you too.
Even though he's handling most of the thrusting, you can still pull yourself up and down on him — using your arms to lift and your legs squeezed against his waist for grip. In Stand & Carry, leaning back significantly or holding yourself close against him both shift the angle of entry.
Be careful not to disrupt your combined balance, which could cause a fall.
Since you're facing each other, passionate kissing is an easy way to intensify things.
His Role In The Stand & Carry Position
Your man juggles two jobs in Stand & Carry. First, holding you and bearing most of your weight. Second, thrusting into you. He supports you by wrapping his hands around your waist, and he can thrust by bending and straightening his legs, or by moving his hips while keeping his legs relatively straight.
Notes On Trying The Stand & Carry Position
A fair number of Love Curi students have tried Stand & Carry with their partners. Here's some feedback they've shared:
- Stand & Carry is exhausting — holding it for more than 2-3 minutes wears out both partners.
- Try Stand & Carry while having sex against a wall, with your back braced against it. This takes some weight off, letting you both last longer, and lets him thrust with more force.
- This position may not deliver the best G-spot stimulation since you're focused on staying upright.

Sean's Thoughts On The Stand & Carry Sex Position
Stand & Carry isn't especially hard to perform. The main requirement is that you both have solid strength. If your man has back problems, I strongly recommend he skip Stand & Carry, since it puts real strain there.
Alternatively, you can use a sex swing for Stand & Carry, letting the swing bear most of the weight instead of straining your back.
