Natural Ways To Make Your Boobs Look Bigger

5 min read

Anyone who grew up reading Judy Blume's Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret remembers the breast exercise chant, "I must, I must, I must increase my bust." Blume herself later admitted on HuffPost Live that the exercise doesn't actually work.

Still, it tapped into something real, preteen girls wanting bigger breasts. Worth remembering that breast size largely sorts itself out post-puberty, growth often happens naturally over time.

Some women are naturally blessed with larger busts, plenty aren't. If your chest runs smaller, there's genuinely nothing to worry about, smaller breasts are just as attractive.

That said, if bigger breasts are what you're after and surgery isn't on the table, a handful of natural approaches are worth trying.

Exercise

Judy Blume's chant-and-squeeze routine never worked for actual size, but certain exercises can make breasts appear perkier, and perkiness genuinely helps.

  1. Grab two three- to five-pound dumbbells.
  2. Hold one in each hand.
  3. Stagger your stance, one foot forward.
  4. Bend your knees slightly.
  5. Raise the dumbbells to shoulder height, palms facing forward.
  6. Punch your right fist forward and slightly left, aligning with your chest's center.
  7. Rotate your palm downward mid-swing.
  8. Return your arm to the start position.
  9. Repeat with your left arm.
  10. That's one rep. Complete two to three sets of 12.
  11. Do this three to four times weekly.

A second option:

  1. Grab two three- to five-pound dumbbells.
  2. Lie on a mat, or sit with an exercise ball supporting your lower back.
  3. Bend your knees.
  4. Feet flat on the floor.
  5. A dumbbell in each hand.
  6. Extend your arms out to the sides, palms up.
  7. Raise the weights straight above your chest, bringing them together.
  8. Lower back out to the sides.
  9. That's one rep. Complete two to three sets of 12.
  10. Do this three to four times weekly.

Try Herbal Supplements

Several herbs are marketed for firming and enlarging breasts. Claims across the board remain fairly general and lack solid scientific backing, relying mostly on anecdotal reports.

None of the herbs commonly used for breast enhancement carry documented negative side effects. Some may even offer bonus benefits, reduced PMS symptoms, better mood, improved skin, shinier hair, stronger nails.

Saw palmetto: Used for breast enlargement and as an aphrodisiac.
Dong quai: Common for PMS and menstrual cramps, it affects estrogen levels and may support breast growth.
Wild yam: Sometimes used as an estrogen therapy alternative, helping with vaginal dryness, cramps, and PMS. May also boost libido and breast size.
Damiana: Mainly used as an aphrodisiac and libido booster. Some take it hoping to support mammary tissue development.
Passionflower: Helps with insomnia, nervousness, and anxiety, more on sexual anxiety. It can also ease menopausal symptoms and promote overall wellbeing. Some use it specifically for breast growth.
Blessed thistle: Supports breast milk production and eases menstrual pain, some also take it hoping for size increase.
Red raspberry: Supports breast health generally, eases heavy periods, and helps with labor pain.
Senna: Primarily a constipation remedy, sometimes included to boost the effectiveness of other herbs in a blend.

Consider The Pill

Still exploring options? Birth control pills sometimes lead to breast growth, the extent varies by individual and formulation. These pills contain estrogen and progestin, hormones known to stimulate breast tissue growth.

Generally, higher hormone doses correlate with more noticeable breast growth, but also higher odds of weight gain, spotting, mood swings, nausea, and headaches.

Adjust Your Diet

Certain everyday foods might support breast growth. Worth experimenting with to see if you notice any difference.

Milk: Naturally occurring hormones in milk may support growth. Cow's milk contains estrogen, progesterone, and prolactin (tied to milk production).
Seeds: Flax, sunflower, and pumpkin seeds all boost estrogen levels, potentially supporting breast growth. Sprinkle them onto virtually anything.
Nuts: Cashews, peanuts, walnuts, all rich in fat and protein, potentially supportive of growth. Swap chips for a handful of nuts.
Seafood: Shrimp, mussels, and oysters carry high manganese levels, which can boost sex hormone production tied to breast tissue growth. Some double as aphrodisiacs too.
Soy: Contains phytoestrogens, potentially supporting growth. Find it in soy nut butter, meatless burgers, some instant oatmeals (check the label), soy milk, and tofu.
Tofu: High in both estrogen and protein. Swap it in for meat occasionally to see if you notice a difference.
Fruits: Eating more fresh fruit may help curb excess testosterone, which can otherwise inhibit breast growth.
Lean meat: A solid protein source, and protein supports tissue growth generally.

Try Green Papaya

Less common at your average grocery store, but readily available at Asian markets. Green papaya has a long-standing reputation, particularly in China, for supporting breast growth.

Its enzymes and nutrients support breast tissue development. Unripe green papaya specifically carries the highest concentration of compounds that stimulate estrogen and prolactin, both tied to growth.

Try it blended into juice or a smoothie.

For green papaya milk: peel and cube the papaya, blend with half a cup of milk (dairy, soy, or almond) and a quarter cup of sweetener (sugar, honey, or agave). Add nuts if you like.

For green papaya yogurt: peel and cube the papaya, blend with a cup of plain yogurt and 2 tablespoons (to taste) of condensed milk. Nuts optional here too.

Not a fan of the taste? Green papaya powder is available online, stir it into dairy or soy milk, or blend into a smoothie.

Consider Breast Enhancement Creams

Most breast creams don't deliver on their promises, and doctors routinely dismiss their effectiveness. Still, some formulations might genuinely work for certain people.

Look specifically for creams containing herbs like saw palmetto or dong quai. These work topically, aiming to boost local estrogen activity that could support growth.

The Bottom Line

These approaches might genuinely help boost breast size, though none guarantee results. Some women do report noticeable improvement from the methods above. Push-up bras and other lingerie can also help you look and feel confidently sexy regardless.

Bigger breasts might seem like the ideal, but plenty of men genuinely prefer smaller ones, among countless other preferences. Ultimately, self-acceptance beats anything else you could try, it's what makes you genuinely more attractive than any physical change ever could.
