The Criss Cross Sex Position

The Criss Cross sex position is a nice twist on several other positions, including the legs on shoulder position. Criss Cross is a solid pick if you want your man to feel a tighter fit during sex.

To do it, lie on your back on a bed or table and raise your legs toward the ceiling. Your man stands upright for this one and enters you. Once he's in, keep your legs as straight as you can and slowly cross them — crossing at the ankles tends to be easiest. The simplest setup is resting your legs against his neck, one on either side.

Crossing your legs makes your vagina feel noticeably tighter to him — the further you cross them, the tighter the sensation. It's also well-suited for small penis sex.

What The Girl Does In The Criss Cross Position

There's not a huge amount of movement available to you in Criss Cross. Crossing your legs while flat on your back limits mobility quite a bit. What you can do is experiment with how far you cross your legs until you find the sweet spot for both of you.

Sliding a pillow or cushion under your hips, waist, or butt makes it easier and more comfortable to point your legs toward the ceiling.

Your hands, meanwhile, are free to caress your breasts or reach any part of him within arm's length.

What The Guy Does In The Criss Cross Position

Your man handles all the thrusting in Criss Cross, and he can also help cross your legs for you. One perk of this position is that he can grab your legs in front of him and pull you in for much harder penetration with each thrust. If you're flexible enough, he can also lean over you and push your legs back further.

But Criss Cross isn't only about him taking charge or going hard. You'll both likely enjoy some shallow, quick thrusting too. He can stroke your legs and ankles while doing this, or reach between your thighs to rub your clit.

Things To Consider When Performing The Criss Cross Sex Position

I've talked with several students who've tried Criss Cross a handful of times with their partners. Here's the feedback I've collected:

  • Even though he's not right on top of you, he holds most of the control here, making it a great pick for couples who like the man taking charge during sex.
  • He can cross your legs himself, but he should be careful not to push them too far and cause pain.
  • For strong, deep thrusts, grip the edge of the bed or table to anchor yourself and have him hold onto your legs.

Sean's Thoughts On The Criss Cross Position

I'm a fan of the Criss Cross position. It's simple to do even with a partner who isn't especially flexible (a pillow under her waist helps), and the tighter feeling it creates works great for me.
